College Football 2012: Predictions for Every Week 2 Top 25 Game

The first week of college football is officially in the books, and here's what we learned:

A. I'm off to a fast start with my pick'ems, heading into Week 2 with a 22-0 record. [golf clap]

B. Alabama showed why it deserves to be the No. 1 in the nation, as it jumped USC in both the?FanIQand?AP Top-25?power rankings.

C. Boise State and Michigan State's new quarterbacks had a bad debut, but will be O.K. It was their first collegiate start on a national stage, cut them a break.

D. The Trojans' offense is really, really good. Oh, and so is?Oregon's.

E. West Virginia's Geno Smith is a legitimate Heisman candidate, and the Mountaineers are a threat to win the Big 12. Oklahoma better have something big planned for November 17.

F. $385,000 isn't worth a 84-0 loss, according to Savannah State coach?Steve Davenport. Well, good luck against Florida State.

This upcoming Saturday carries some interest, as we'll see LSU take on Heisman candidate quarterback Keith Price and the Washington Huskies, Georgia take a road trip to SEC newcomer Missouri, and Miami (Fla.) try to upset Kansas State.
